Welcome to Lesson #10 of Breathe Deeper [Level 1].
Congratulations! You made it! The final piece of the puzzle!
You can imagine your breath as a stick of TNT. You notice tension, you breathe into it, the bomb goes off, and all sorts of physical tension is broken up.
This is great news, but there is a catch: you now have to deal with clean-up.
This makes sense on a variety of levels. For example, if you want to build on land with an existing structure in place, you must demolish the old building first. That demolition creates rubble. And that rubble has to be cleaned up before the new building can be built.
Same with you: your old self must be dismantled in order for your new Self to be born. And you must clean up the debris that was generated from the dismantling.
This is ‘Purging’ — releasing the old to make room for the new.
There are 3 types of purges:
Let’s take a look at each one separately.
The “old you” has a sluggish, diseased physical body. The “new you” has a vibrant, healthy physical body.
There are physical toxic substances that must leave your body (via urine, feces, vomit, sweat, tears, spit and breath) in order for you to move from sluggish → vibrant; diseased → healthy.
Substances like toxic heavy metals, pesticides, pathogens, excess cholesterol, parasites, chemical solvents, micro-plastics, radiation, etc…there’s a lot of toxins stored in your tissues.
If you want to help this process along, I cannot recommend the Medical Medium series highly enough. Specifically the book Cleanse to Heal. The information there helped alleviate my symptoms of brain fog, eye floaters, liver pain, constipation, bloating, body odor, and much more.
Seriously…do yourself a favor and get familiarized with that information. It is an absolute game changer.
You aren’t just your atoms! You are also the energy within and in-between your atoms.
The movement of energy in your body is emotion. E-motion: energy in motion.
The “old you” has an upset, repressed emotional body. The “new you” has a joyous, flowing emotional body.
It’s just a fact that there are a lot of pent-up emotions in your energy body restricting you from experiencing your own radiant joy.
Breathing will help loosen these blockages, but expect to emotionally purge as a result.
Emotional purging includes screaming, crying, coughing, moving, shaking, trembling, energy blasting through the top of your head, etc.
If you need support during this time, please seek professional help. Specifically, someone with personal experience in the Awakening process. Spiritual mentors, therapists, embodiment coaches, psychologists, trusted friends, etc. You don’t need to go through this alone.
You aren’t just the energy flowing through your atoms! You are also the thoughts that decide where your energy moves.
The “old you” thinks it is the victim of its reality. The “new you” knows it is the Creator of its reality.
Going from old to new requires that you let go of old stories, forgive memories, release identifications with body & mind, and update your outdated belief system.
In my opinion, this is the most important part of the purge. And the most challenging.
How do you release fear when friends, family and culture are constantly trying to convince you that being afraid is helpful!?
Prayer, meditation, and journaling have been the most helpful for me in this regard.
Experiencing “weird” physical, emotional, and psychic detox symptoms while deep breathing is not only normal, it’s desirable. It means you’re making room for the new you to emerge. Trust the process.

P.S. Using the concepts I teach here and in Level 2, all three layers of purges will happen much faster and with far greater intensity.
Why?
It’s similar to what I described in Lesson #7: Radiate. More volume = more room in your body for things to move. The “pipes” have become wider and can thus flush out bigger loads of your “junk”.
